Hear Ye! Hear Ye!

We'd like you to prepare now to attend the FAWCO Interim Conference in The Hague (Netherlands); March 25-29, 2004. Once again you will have the opportunity to be the lucky winner from our club as you support the yearly club raffle for this exciting conference. These tickets will go on sale at the 2003 May luncheon. The winner will be chosen at this year's traditional Thanksgiving celebration. But, don't wait to see if you can get a free ride to this conference; plan now to attend. Start saving your money now. Let's plan to take a big group of representation from Hamburg to The Hague. Congratulations! I am thrilled to be passing the FAWCO Rep. baton off to Frauke R-H. She is approaching an exciting two-year term that will encompass our club's involvement in FAWCO's two-year conferences in the Hague and Birmingham. You will be proud to have her represent you to the organization. Her job is challenging; there is no question about it. It is no small task to keep up with the ever-increasing information pool from the FAWCO headquarters and then act as a liaison to our own membership. Little by little, we work at the big picture and year after year we see more enthusiasm within our own membership to support the FAWCO mission statement. We continue to catch the FAWCO Fever! I am very encouraged by your support.

Thank you! As my FAWCO Rep. term comes to a close, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you, the membership, for your faithfulness and supportive financial giving towards the FAWCO Foundation charities and educational awards. Through your giving, you have put smiles on real faces of many women and children in need. I was proud to represent you these past two years to the FAWCO Organization. I was thrilled to announce to the Foundation, at the FAWCO conference in Stockholm, that our club donated EUR 909,50 through our monthly raffles in 2002-03. Congratulations! These proceeds went to the Foundation Awards programs and grants. Just think, when we take our portion and put it together with the other FAWCO clubs around the world, we corporately share in the job of giving to those less fortunate than ourselves and encourage the pursuit of higher education to our members and their children. Together we make a big impact. Thank you for helping us, the AWCH, share in this awesome experience.
