After the Birth
(Medical)

Almost like your Mutterpass, your baby will receive a Kinder-Untersuchungsheft, Child-Examination Booklet, with W.H.O. card which will cover the first five years of growth, general physical development and immunizations. It will list the dates at which you are expected to bring the child in for examination, Untersuchung, U1 through U9.

The U1 occurs immediately after birth. The U2 is after 48 hours or latest 10 days, and the U3 is after four to six weeks. So it is important to have interviewed pediatricians prior to delivery.
