by Krista D.R. Moving to Hamburg from the environmentally-aware San Francisco Bay Area, I was thrilled to see waste reduction truly in action. Sure, in SF we talked about reducing, reusing, recycling and rotting (composting), and even pioneered efforts to put those sweet words into action. Yet, what Germans consider normal waste reduction practices seem to be light-years ahead of any systems California has established. |
